Harriet Tubman has a very interesting background. In fact her birth name was Araminta Ross, and then she stole her mother’s name Harriet Ross “harriet tubman biography.” Her parent’s names were Harriet Ross, and Benjamin Ross. Tubman was born in 1822. Also, as a slave Harriet worked as a nurse, maid, field hand, cook, and a woodcutter “Harriet Tubman Biography.” When she grew up Harriet married John Tubman a free slave in 1844 “harriet tubman biography.” She also escaped to freedom in 1849.
